Headaches,
backaches, neck and shoulder tension, foot pain, insomnia and fatigue are just
a few of the discomforts that reflexology can help eliminate. It also aids the
body in controlling such disorders as poor circulation, anxiety, constipation,
menstrual cramps and sinus and respiratory issues. During pregnancy it safely
relieves the discomforts of swelling in the feet and legs.
The
session begins with a thorough, soothing foot massage. As each foot is massaged
tension is released and the body falls into deeper and deeper states of relaxation.
Then, using slow steady pressure, the reflex points on the feet are stimulated
to bring the body into a more balanced and open state of flow so that your innate
capacity for self-healing can take place. By the end of the session you feel energized,
relaxed and rejuvenatedbody, mind and sole!
Because
this technique promotes healing without having to touch the effected body part
directly, it is especially beneficial for conditions where other types of bodywork
such as massage may be contraindicated - i.e. broken bones and injured areas too
painful to be touched directly, fever, etc.
When
given to patients both before and after surgery, reflexology reduces pain and
speeds healing time. And, the gift of a loving touch to comfort a patient can
have immeasurable value. Reflexology is safe and effective for people of all ages
and all levels of health. It is particularly suited for those who desire the benefits
of bodywork with the convenience of not having to remove their clothes.
The
effects of reflexology are deepened when combined with the use of therapeutic
grade essential oils.
